2023 Club Season Info

Phoenix Volleyball Club is now fielding two teams for the 2023 season

Season Duration

Our club season officially begins with the first practice on January 9, 2023 and ends with Nationals the second weekend in May. The club potluck banquet and awards ceremony will be held sometime after Nationals before the end of June.

Orientation Day

Player/parent orientation and meet 'n' greet evening to receive further club/team information and jersey sizing.
Team apparel and 1st installment payment is required on orientation day.

LOCATION: John Pritchard School, 1490 Henderson Hwy

Practice Training Schedule

Mondays 6:00 - 8:00pm at Polson School, 491 Munroe Ave, Winnipeg
Tuesdays 7:30 – 9:30pm at John Pritchard School, 1490 Henderson Hwy
Thursdays 6:30 - 8:30pm at Lavallee School, 505 St. Annes Rd., Winnipeg

Tournaments

Teams will participate in 6-8 tournaments including Provincials, Nationals, and at least one tournament in Brandon. Normally held in AB or BC for western teams, the 2023 14U Nationals are being held in Winnipeg. Teams may also travel to tournaments in Selkirk, Saskatchewan, and Ontario but these require a minimum roster of players whose families have agreed to enter. Teams may also elect to attend tournaments outside of those scheduled by the club and the Team Manager will be able to provide related details.

Team Registration Fee

14U Club registration fee is $1850.00 and covers the following expenses including:

• Volleyball Canada/Manitoba registration and player membership fee
• All tournament registration fees (6-7 tournaments incl. Provincials & Nationals)
• Facility rentals & applicable insurance
• Team apparel (2 game jerseys, 2 practice shirts, 1 warm-up shirt, 1 hoodie, & 1 backpack)
• Coach honorariums & expenses
• Equipment, supplies, & administration costs

Phoenix Volleyball Club provides an opportunity for young female athletes to experience high level coaching with a competitive club while having fun and making new friends.
